Week 1, 2/19/25, Knitting
Beginner: Cast on, knit stitch, start basic scarf
Beginner Tools & Materials: Size 8 or 9 knitting needles, 2 skeins worsted (Medium) weight yarn
Advanced: Pattern Sampler Scarf, picking up dropped stitches, ripping out and repairing mistakes
Advanced tools & materials: medium weight yarn, size 8 or 9 needles

Week 2, 2/26/25, Knitting
Beginner: purl stitch, Pattern Sampler Scarf, adding new yarn, casting off
Beginner Tools & Materials: Size 8, 9 or 10 knitting needles, 2 skeins worsted weight yarn
Advanced: Patterned Irish Moss Stitch, Hand Warmers
Advanced tools & materials: Medium weight yarn, Size 7 or 8 needles

Week 3, 3/5/25, Knitting, Leaf Pattern Scarf
Tools & materials: Size 7, 8, or 9 knitting needles, 2 skeins worsted weight yarn

Week 5, 3/19/25, Knitting
Cable Scarf, Fixing knitting mistakes, kitchener stitch, decrease slants, adding yarn, casting off
Tools & Materials Needed: 2 skeins Worsted weight yarn, size 8 or 9 knitting needles, cable needle
Week 6, 3/26/25, Knitting
Basic Hat Made on Circular Needles, Maybe Twist & Sprout Hat, Tapestry technique vs. stranding
Tools & Materials Needed: 3 colors of medium weight yarn, size 8 or 9, 16” circular needle,
4 or 5 same-size double pointed needles.
Week 7, 4/2/25, Cross Stitch, Counted Cross Stitch, Create your own pattern
Tools & Materials Needed: Embroidery or cross stitch thread, cross stitch fabric, embroidery needle, graph paper & pencil.
Week 8, 4/9/25, Embroidery
Tools & Materials Needed: Woven Fabric, embroidery thread, embroidery needle
4/16/25 No Class, Spring Break
Week 9, 4/23/25, Crochet
Beginner: Basic crochet stitches: Slip knot, chaining, single crochet
Single Crochet Purse
Tools & Materials Needed for purse: Medium weight/worsted weight yarn, size G, H, or I crochet hook, or as called for on yarn package. 1 skein needed for purse & 1” button.
Advanced: Ripple Pattern Scarf or Afghan

Week 10, 4/30/25, Crochet
Beginner: More Basic Crochet stitches: half double, double & triple crochet
Multi-Stitch Scarf
Beginner Tools & Materials Needed: 2 skeins Medium weight/worsted weight yarn, size G, H, or I crochet hook, or as called for on yarn package.
Advanced: Picot Flower & other flowers
Advanced Tools & Materials Needed: Medium weight yarn with appropriate crochet hook, small amounts of 5 color

Week 14, 5/28/25, Crochet: Spiral Fan Scarf
Tools & Materials Needed: Medium weight yarn with appropriate crochet hook
Week 15, 6/4/25, Bead Loom Weaving from a graphed pattern, Mosaic Tile from a graphed pattern
Tools & Materials Needed: Bead loom, Beading thread, Sie 6 seed beads, graph paper & pencil
Flat surface, mosaic tiles, glue
Week 16, 6/11/25, Coil Crochet Basket
Tools & Materials Needed:

#4 weight yarn – Lion Brand 24/7 suggested, or equivalent (slightly thinner than normal medium weight yarn, but still #4). NOTE: Use a color other than white so it will be a contrast to the piping.
