Week 1, 2/14/24, Crochet

Beginner: Basic crochet stitches: Slip knot, chaining, single crochet, Single Crochet Purse
Tools & Materials Needed for purse: Medium weight/worsted weight yarn, size G, H,  or I crochet hook, or as called for on yarn package. 1 skein needed for purse & 1” button.

Advanced: Crochet Plant Hanger Pattern, Magic Circle review

Tools & Materials Needed:
61 yds. medium (worsted) weight cotton yarn
Size H crochet hook

Week 2, 2/21/24, Crochet
Beginner: More Basic Crochet stitches: half double, double & triple crochet, Multi-Stitch Scarf

Beginner Tools & Materials Needed: 2 skeins Medium weight/worsted weight yarn, size G, H,  or I crochet hook, or as called for on yarn package.

Advanced: Bobble Stitch
Advanced Tools & Materials Needed: any yarn with appropriate crochet hook

Week 3, 2/28/24, Crochet
Beginner: Basic crochet hat in the round
Beginner Tools & Materials Needed: Medium weight/worsted weight yarn, size G, H,  or I crochet hook, or as called for on yarn package. 1 skein needed for hat.

Advanced: Winter Beanie Pattern

Advanced Tools & Materials Needed: 1 skein Worsted weight yarn and size H or I crochet hook.

Week 4, 3/6/24, Crochet
Everyone:
Pumpkin pie with pie crust edging

Tools & Materials: 2 colors of worsted weight (size 4) yarn with size H crochet hook.

(Use Pumpkin color brown & crust color beige if you want it to look like a real pumpkin pie)

Week 5, 3/13/24, Crochet
Everyone: Basic Granny Square/Granny Square Tote Bag, Adding a new yarn

  • Tools & Materials Needed: 109 yd each in 3 colors of medium weight yarn, plus 218yd of a 4th color which will also be the strap color and 218 yds. of a 5th color.
  • Size H crochet hook
  • Stitch Markers
  • Tapestry Needle

Week 6, 3/20/24,

Reverse applique & Embroidery

Tools & Materials Needed: Sturdy woven fabric, such as muslin,
approx. 6" embroidery hoop, embroidery thread, embroidery needle.

Tools & Materials Needed: 2 t-shirts you don't mind cutting up, in 2 different colors, or 2 colors of t-shirt fabric,
approx. 6" embroidery hoop, embroidery thread, embroidery needle.

Week 8, 4/3/24, Knitting
Beginner: Cast on, knit stitch, start basic scarf
Beginner Tools & Materials: Size 8, 9 or 10 knitting needles, 2 skeins worsted weight yarn

Advanced: Pressed Flowers Cowl/flowers only
Advanced tools & materials: 2 colors of medium weight yarn, size 8 or 9 needles

Week 13, 5/15/24, Frame Loom Weaving: how to make the loom, Frame loom weaving: make a bag or purse. Plain weaving, tapestry weaving 2 ways
