This most basic Bead Weaving technique can be used to make earrings, bracelets & necklaces when made with cord or thread, or worked with stretchy cord to create a stretchy bracelet with no clasp. Although the method is simple, many interesting variations are possible using various bead shapes and sizes. This is a very good basic introduction to Bead Weaving.
